I'm concerned here - I would love to come to the Con', but at the moment I can't be sure I'll be available or be able to afford to come (I'm sure other people have similar reasons).
Is there a way to express my interest in coming without having to pay the fee yet? Would the Con' be able to expand in that case - if there was a queue of people saying "definitely maybe"?!

The venue can fit
The venue can fit comfortably up to 400 people. We might not be able to accept more registrations than that. If you want to make sure you have a seat complete the registration process before we reach that figure. There is a 'Recent registrants' block on this site that will show a total registrants figure.
Ok
That's a close second I guess, thanks for that! :)
Registration fee
The reason we ask for a modest registration fee (50 EUR for 3 days) is to avoid that people register just to secure a spot. At the last DrupalCon, about 1/3 of the registered users didn't show up which is a shame: we had to throw away a lot of food, we had people on waiting lists, etc. Organizing a 3 day conference for so many people is expensive, and because we are on a tight budget, we can't afford 1/3 of the people not showing up.
So to make a long story short: the registration fee is mandatory. You're only registered once you paid the 50 EUR. I hope you can sympathize with our motives. :)
It's unreal, its a steal, I'll take the deal!
Sale of the century!
In fact it is 50€ for 4
In fact it is 50€ for 4 days, with food, drinks and many, many sessions. Not bad price at all, I think.
Food + Drinks included?
Is this true?

yes, it is absolutely true.
yes, it is absolutely true. Of course sandwiches and other fresh stuff but nice free food.
Hey!
No-one's questioning the value of thing! :p If it were £50 and down the road, I'd buy two - the problem is money for flying, trains, accommodation and time to spare to do all this great stuff! :)
Price is great.
Hands down a really well priced conference.
